Adham A. Abdelfattah, MD

Dr. Adham A. Abdelfattah (“Dr. A”) is a board certified, fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon who specializes in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. His interests include primary and complex total shoulder and elbow replacement surgery, as well as, arthroscopy, trauma, instability, sports injuries and rotator cuff treatment. He also continues to treat variety of conditions involving the hand, hip, knee and ankle as well.  He focuses on providing the most advanced surgical techniques and technology with outstanding, personalized orthopaedic care for each patient.

Born and raised in Texas, he always knew he would return here for practice. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of Texas at El Paso with Bachelors of Science and was awarded the Most Outstanding Student in Microbiology. He received Doctor of Medicine from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.  

He then went to Houston, Texas to complete his internship in General Surgery at the Methodist Hospital, which is affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College. He completed his Orthopaedic residency at Saint Louis University and his fellowship at one of the top Shoulder and Elbow programs in the nation at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute/University of South Florida. 

Dr. A has written many publications including scientific articles and textbook chapters. His research has won first place in 11th Annual Orthopaedic Research Day at the Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education on a classification scheme for reverse shoulder replacement and instability. He continues his academic involvement to-date on the most current topics changing medicine tomorrow.  He has presented his work at many national academic conferences.  He has also headed a medical mission to Malawi, Africa, to provide Orthopaedic care to those in need. Dr. A loves to workout, hike, bike and run when he isn’t working.
